CIESJ Presents: New Story Leadership's Phoenix Plan for a Lasting Peace in Israel-Palestine

Wednesday, July 24, 2024 18 Tammuz 5784

7:00 PM - 9:00 PMTemple Sinai

The Israel-Hamas War has created a trauma for both Israelis and Palestinians that has brought into focus the need for a resolution to the long-standing conflict between Israel’s right to a safe and secure existence and Palestinians’ right to dignity and self-governance.  Please come and hear about the Phoenix Plan, which was crafted by young Israeli and Palestinian leaders – Jews, Muslims, and Christians – who are alumni of the New Story Leadership program and who have developed their own plan for peace and justice in the region.

Since 2009, New Story Leadership has brought young leaders from Israel-Palestine to Washington, DC to elevate the next generation of voices committed to working together for peace and justice.  NSL does this by providing leadership and storytelling training, internships in Congressional offices, and speaking engagements in the region.

Please come to our program to hear five such leaders discuss their personal stories in Israel-Palestine and the substance of their Phoenix Plan.  After their presentation and Q & A, there will be a reception where attendees will have an opportunity for personal interaction with the young leaders. This is an opportunity to hear from young people whose lives have been directly impacted by the conflict.

Livestream information will be provided via email to all registrants. There will not be a recording available for later viewing.

Note: in person registration has closed, but you may register below to join virtually.
